Pretty in Pink

This flowering tree is in my neighbour’s yard.

006I don’t know what it is, but it doesn’t grow in the Yukon.

003Being a Northern gal, I don’t recognize most of the trees & flowers here!

004It sure is pretty!

It is a star magnolia. I learned that from my own readers. We have one in our yard.

Yes, it’s a variety of Magnolia. I have one in white that’s already bloomed, and covet the (more expensive!) pink.

  3. Hi Nita, your neighbour’s tree is very pretty and I think it is a variety of Magnolia and I hope it is scented. I am no expert on trees but it might give you somewhere to start in identifying it properly. We have lots of magnolia’s flowering in our area. X

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
